Lacey is a very friendly dog who is looking for her permanent, loving home. She came to the Nelson Branch as a transfer from Kelowna, where she was an owner surrender. She has had no formal training but listens well and knows how to “shake two paws”, “sit”, “heal”, “lay down”, etc. She is quite shy at first meeting, but quickly bonds to her caregivers. Lacey can be intimidated by some more powerful men because of her past history, but she does respond to all people who give her the love she wants and needs. Once Lacey comes out of her shell, she is a playful, active, outgoing and affectionate dog. Her previous owner said that she is very obedient, loves everyone but she does not like car rides. Lacey also settles down in her bed at night without a peep. If you’d like to meet this very sweet dog, please speak with the Nelson SPCA Staff for a one-on-one meeting.
